Infrastructure Development and Rehabilitation

SRSP does not see infrastructure development as a brick and mortar building process. It views it as a process of building community cohesiveness by bringing the community together to address common goals.

The project has initiated 415 projects out of a total of 771 projects. 267 projects are complete and operational benefiting 78,5000 people.

SRSP with EU support is constructing link roads, bridges, drinking water projects, irrigation canals and also rebuilding and improving government infrastructure in schools and hospitals etc.

SRSP has signed MOU with education and health departments of Malakand Division to rehabilitate and improve Government schemes in health and education.  SRSP is also promoting local communities in identification, implementation and maintenance of infrastructure schemes. So far 121 Social Sector Institutions (Schools, Basic Health Units, Administration Offices, Sports and Recreation Facilities) have been rehabilitated. The programme has identified and initiated 373 community based infrastructure projects benefiting over one million people. These schemes include drinking water supply, communication, sanitation and irrigation schemes
